Mummy trouble

Hugo's curiosity about mummies all started when we checked out Tim Burton's book at the library a couple of months ago. The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy & Other Stories is a collection of odd short stories & illustrations. Mummy Boy was Hugo's favorite story.
"He wasn't soft and pink with a fat little tummy; he was hard and hollow, a little boy mummy."

This past week we checked out a couple of more "kid friendly" mummy books. "Where's My Mummy?" is a fun read.

Michael Rex is one of our favorite authors. His "Goodnight Goon" parody was Hugo's book of choice for a long time. The Goon even makes an appearance at the end of this book.

Thanks to Aunt Jen Jen's Easter gift card Hugo is now the proud owner of the Matchbox Mummy's Gold Playset. The Mummy's eyes light up & he bellows "Who dare wakes the Mummy?" Sometimes Hugo is fascinated by this & other times he is kind of creeped out. Ha.

Hi. I just stumbled across this as I was looking for something else. Thanks for taking the time to write about my books! I've got some great new books for Hugo when he's a bit older!---Mike Rex
